My Camaro

page 19

Start all over again.....

I have driven the Camaro daily now for over a year and gathered even more small damages.... There were a few things I wanted to improve / change but since I drove it daily I didn't find the time for it since it was my only car. The last damage happened while I was at the supermarket getting a few boxes to send some stuff I had sold. I asked my son Lars (3,5 years old at the time) to stay in the car since I would be back in 2 minutes. When I came back with 2 big boxes I opened my door and Lars said: "that lady crashed to the door of the Camaro" and pointed towards the shops. I closed the door and saw the damage..... I couldn't believe what I saw and got really, really mad..... I turned around and there was no car next to mine... I asked Lars again who did it and he again pointed to some fossiles walking to the shops. I told him to wait and ran to the couple he pointed out to me and I shouted: "what's up?" The elderly couple said: "we were going to leave a note..." YEAH RIGHT!!! First they parked their car somewhere else, got a shopping cart and were ready to enter the supermarket. In the end their insurance paid for the damage, but if Lars wouldn't have been in the car and if he wasn't smart enough to tell me I would have been screwed.

At this time I was so pissed off that I bought an old Suzuki Alto the next day to use as a daily driver and put the Camaro aside.

New plans and parts......

The plans of putting a turbo on my car have been there for a long time now but started to take shape when I got a new turbo that my stepdad Willem had laying around. No way back now I think..... It will be a carbed blowthrough system. This plan has no high priority and I buy parts when I have some spare cash or just happen to run into useable parts. Parts I have sofar are: Turbo, Holley 600DP carb, all the parts to convert the carb for blowthrough use and a carb hat.
