My Camaro

Finishing....?

I can finally drive it now but there are some things left to do. I need to put the rear window molding back on, paint the exhaust pipes, polish the wheels and finish the interior. These pictures were taken on my club's Saterday Night Cruise.

The gold Camaro next to mine is my friend Ron's. It has also just been repainted and looks very nice. I started making new doorpanels since the old ones didn't look so good anymore and I don't need the holes for the window crank. In two weeks time the new headliner will be installed so by then the inside will be finished.

It's a real pleasure to drive the Camaro, it corners tight and the body hardly leans over. The brakes work fine and the carb probably needs to be fine tuned. The tires don't rub anywhere and ground clearance is perfect, even on speed bumps but the ride is not too harsh. It drives like a modern (European) car and has the great looks of the second generation Camaro. I know some people will not like the "smooth" look and prefer the "original" look. But hey, who cares, I like it a lot......
